WAYFINDERS
Outdoor play, community building, and leadership development for Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Find your day in the forest
Each program meets one day per week for the fall session.
Limited spaces and scholarships available.

This fall, Base Camp isn’t only for kids.
During the first two weeks of the session, parents are invited to stay and participate in two free community workshops while their children are in the forest.
This is our way of supporting the whole family.

Week one
Join Tal for a grounding breathwork session to reset, recharge, and connect more deeply.
Tues 9/22 4–5pm · Wed 9/23 4–5pm
Thurs 10/1 4–5pm

Week two
Leave with practices to help your kids end meltdowns, get comfortable making mistakes, and build their resilience muscle.
Thurs 9/24 4–5pm · Tues 9/29 4–5:30pm
Wed 9/30 4–5:30pm
A week at Base Camp
Each week in the forest, kids discover, play, and grow.
Wander the woods, observe wildlife, and connect with the seasons.
Learn fire tending, shelter building, plant identification, and knife skills.
Take healthy risks, solve problems, and celebrate personal growth.
Play, cooperate, and build lasting friendships in a caring community.
Express through earth art, songs, imagination, and play.
Practice ecological stewardship and care for our shared home.
Why families love Base Camp
“Our community is strong—and keeps growing stronger.”
Stewardship in action
We explore our local ecosystem by planting native trees, shrubs, grasses, and forbs at Lenoir Preserve. We remove invasive plants, water new plantings, and care for the deer exclosure that protects the restoration area.
