Walk & Talks

We offer nature-informed walk and talk therapy for individuals seeking a therapeutic experience that extends beyond the traditional office setting.

Wayfinders therapists are trained through the Center for Nature-Informed Therapy, we integrate evidence-informed psychotherapy with the restorative qualities of the natural world. Sessions take place outdoors, where movement, fresh air, and connection with the environment can support reflection, emotional processing, and personal growth.

Walk and talk therapy may be especially helpful for those who:

  • Feel more comfortable talking while moving rather than sitting face-to-face

  • Experience stress, anxiety, life transitions, grief, or burnout

  • Seek greater connection with themselves, others, and the natural world

  • Find that being outdoors helps them feel grounded, present, and open

Nature-informed therapy is not simply therapy that happens outside. It recognizes that our relationship with the natural world can be a meaningful resource in the healing process. Together, we may draw on observations from the environment, seasonal changes, natural metaphors, and mindful engagement with our surroundings to deepen insight and support well-being.

Every session is tailored to your comfort level, therapeutic goals, physical abilities, and the conditions of the day. Whether we are walking, sitting, or pausing along the way, the focus remains on creating a safe, supportive space for exploration and growth.
